Campus Resource Officers
Huntley 158 employs a resource officer at each of its three campuses. The Campus Resource Officer (CRO) program is dedicated to making Huntley 158 schools and students safer by providing law enforcement support and the highest quality training to staff and students.
Each of the resource officers is a full-time, fully equipped police officer with authority to enforce local laws as well as to provide first response in emergency situations. As CRO, these officers are specially focused on proactive school safety and security, building positive relationships between students and the law enforcement community, and education on a variety of safety and wellness topics.
The District has partnered with Huntley Police Department to house a school resource officer at Huntley High School for more than 20 years. In fall 2019, CROs were added at the Square Barn Road and Reed Road Campuses as part of the District’s ongoing efforts to enhance school safety and student wellness.
