Athletic/Activity Fees FAQ

How much are athletic and activity fees for the 2026-2027 school year?
Student athletic participation fees are $100 per sport/activity for high school and $65 per sport/activity for middle school. Note: There is an athletic fee maximum per family of $260 per year for middle school and $400 per year for high school. There is no maximum per family for activity fees.   

What do athletic and activity fees cover?
Athletic fees cover expenses such as athletic equipment, coaching salaries, transportation, athletic field/surface maintenance, and officials. Activity fees cover expenses such as stipend salaries, competitions, transportation and supplies.

When do I pay athletic/activity fees?
Athletic fees are paid after a student athlete makes the team and are due two weeks from the last tryout date. Activity fees as due two weeks after the start date of an activity.

How do I pay athletic/activity fees?
Athletic/activity fees will be paid directly through the Web Store. Note: A service fee will be applied to credit card transactions to cover the fee charged by credit card companies. Athletic and activity fees also can be paid in cash or by check. Checks should be made payable to Huntley High School and can be mailed to Huntley High School, Attn: Athletic Department, 13719 Harmony Rd, Huntley, IL 60142.

Is it possible to have athletic/activity fees waived?
No. Fees are not waived for student participation in athletics or activities. Fees that may be waived include but are not limited to: registration fees, textbooks and other instructional materials, and drivers education. 

Is there an option to request a payment plan for athletic/activity fees?
Yes. Those interested in setting up a payment plan for athletic/activity fees can contact the Athletic Office at (847) 659-6516. 

If I do not pay my athletic/activity fee, what happens?
If a student is not in compliance with all required items the Friday after tryouts conclude they will not be allowed to participate in practices or competitions. If a student is not in compliance with all required items for an activity two weeks after the start of that activity, that student will no longer be allowed to participate in the activity.
