Facility Rental Procedure
Please read and understand the guidelines for use of school buildings or grounds, especially the sections on insurance requirements, charge for custodian time, cancellations, and billing.
NOTE: A certificate of liability insurance naming Huntley Community School District 158, 650 Dr. John Burkey Drive, Algonquin, IL 60102 as the certificate holder/additional insured is required. There will be no “Waivers of Subrogation” permitted on the Certificate of Insurance between School District 158 and the renter.
Making Your Request
All requests must be made on the current Application for Use of Buildings or Grounds form.
For requests with multiple dates, be sure to include a list of the exact dates you are requesting. For example, do not submit a request for the third Tuesday of each month. Here’s a link to the 2024-2025 Yearly Calendar for your reference so as to avoid requesting No School Days, Institute Days, Holidays, Winter Break, Spring Break, and other non-rental dates. In addition, room use immediately after school hours on Early Release dates is not available.
Approval Process
When the Rental Application is received, the request is checked for the permissibility of the event, the Priority Group classification, and for space availability. Please note the overall process can take up to 5 business days.
No rental event will be considered ‘booked’ until the signed Rental Application has gone through the approval process and a copy of the certificate of liability insurance and any required deposit or full rental payment has been received.
