Meet the Board
Huntley Community School District 158 is governed by a Board of Education consisting of seven members serving without compensation. The term of office is four years. Powers and duties include the broad authority to adopt and enforce all necessary policies for the management and government of the public schools.
The Board of Education generally meets as a Committee of the Whole, typically on the first Thursday of each month, followed by a regular meeting, typically on the third Thursday of the month. Members of the public are encouraged to attend all meetings to learn and comment about issues pertaining to the District. Meetings are streamed live on the website, and meeting agendas and minutes are available through BoardBook.

About Andy Bittman
Andy Bittman and his wife, Diane, have lived in Algonquin since 2017 with their three children: Victoria, a Class of 2019 Huntley 158 graduate; Teddy, a class of 2021 Huntley 158 graduate; and Lucas, who is a current student at Huntley High School. Andy holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Since starting his career as an engineer for a four-person startup company, he has experience designing over 50 complex digital signal processing products for unique applications. In various management roles, he has been closely involved in the design and management of highly complex technical products and systems. In 2013, Andy spent seven months working internationally to build a new engineering site in Oradea, Romania. Andy currently serves as the general manager and president of the North American operations for an Italian multinational corporation which designs, builds, and deploys custom automated production systems for customers in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and e-mobility markets.
Outside of work, Andy spends most of his time with his family and their two rescue dogs while taking every opportunity to learn while traveling the world.

About Rich Bobby
Rich Bobby and his wife, a public school teacher in another district, have lived in Lake in the Hills since 2006 and have been proud residents of the D158 community since 2015. They have two children currently enrolled in the district. Rich has over 25 years of experience in supporting children and families in need, including more than 20 years in nonprofit leadership. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree of social work from the University of South Florida, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As CEO of Little City, a nonprofit supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, he advocates at both the state and federal levels.
Rich is a former board president of the Huntley 158 Education Foundation. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family, watching live music, and waiting for the Chicago Bears to win another Super Bowl.

About Sean Cratty
Sean Cratty was appointed to the Board in July 2020. He is currently the director of retail banking at First National Bank of Omaha for Illinois, Texas and South Dakota. He also serves the community in a number of roles, including co-chair/organizer of Huntley Fall Fest, Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer of St. Baldrick’s Huntley, member of the Huntley Park Foundation Board, and trustee for Grafton Township.
Sean holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Monmouth College and is a graduate of the Leadership Greater McHenry County program. He lives in Lake in the Hills with his wife, Emmy, and their three children.

About Andy Fekete
Andy Fekete was elected to the Huntley 158 school board in April 2025. He is a lifelong Huntley-area resident, experienced educator, and proud parent of two students in the district. He currently serves as director for innovation and technology for Community Consolidated School District 93 in Carol Stream, Illinois.
Andy holds a bachelor of arts degree from Carthage College and two master’s degrees from Concordia University Chicago—one in educational administration and another in educational leadership with an emphasis on innovation and technology. With over 20 years of experience in education, he is committed to fostering student success, supporting educators, and advancing Huntley Community School District 158 through thoughtful, forward-thinking leadership.
Andy lives in Algonquin with his wife, Kim, and their two children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, exploring new foods, and spending time outdoors with his family.

About Melissa Maiorino
Melissa Maiorino and her husband, Josh, have lived in Huntley since 2009. Two of their children are Huntley High School graduates and their youngest is a current student at HHS. Melissa served as a member of the Huntley Board of Education from 2019 to 2023 and was reelected in 2025. She is actively involved in various district committees, including the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) and the Parent Teacher Advisory Committee (PTAC). She also serves the community as a CASA volunteer and advocates for human rights and violence prevention. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, hearing the stories about their day and laughing together. She enjoys listening to all types of music, the theatre, anything Disney and everything Christmas.

About Laura Murray
Laura Murray was elected to the Huntley 158 school board in April 2023. In this role, Laura is committed to listening to and really hearing the needs of our community and its stakeholders, including teachers, staff, parents and students. She believes in a common sense approach to education.
Laura and her husband, Scott, have been Huntley residents for 16 years. They live in the community with their two sons. Laura has worked in the customer service industry for over 25 years, which has fueled her love of working in a team-focused environment.

About Paul Troy
Paul Troy's career of servant leadership includes extensive operational leadership experience in public education, finance, and engineering technology. He has well-developed skills in overseeing operations, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, leading community outreach efforts, managing staff, strategic planning, and public policy.He holds a master's degree of education in school business management from Northern Illinois University, an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, and a bachelor's degree of science in engineering physics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Paul and his wife, Jennifer, have lived in Lake in the Hills since 1998, and are extremely proud of their two daughters, Katrina and Elizabeth, both graduates of Huntley High School.
